We collect some of this information through cookies, pixels, tags, software development kits, and similar technologies. These technologies help the Site function, remember preferences, measure performance, understand how visitors use the Site, prevent fraud, and support advertising.

Information from other sources

We may receive information from Shopify and services connected to our Shopify store, payment providers, shipping carriers, analytics providers, advertising partners, and services used for our rewards and pull-list programs.

We may combine information collected online with customer information collected in our physical store, such as purchase history, rewards activity, special orders, and pull-list records.

How we disclose personal information

Shopify and payment providers. Shopify powers our online and in-store commerce services and facilitates payment processing, customer accounts, checkout, fraud prevention, and related services.

Operational service providers. We disclose information as needed to companies that help us operate our business, including USPS and UPS for delivery and Shopify-connected applications used for draft orders, messaging, barcode labels, and shop codes.

Rewards and pull-list providers. We use Joy: Loyalty Program to administer rewards and Manage Comics 2 Subscriptions to administer comic subscriptions, pull lists, and preorders. Manage Comics states that it receives customers’ first name, last name, email address, and unique Shopify ID from Shopify.

Analytics and advertising providers. We use Google Analytics, Google Ads, and the Meta Pixel. Google and Meta may collect or receive device, browsing, interaction, and purchase-related information through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to provide analytics, measure advertising, personalize advertising where permitted, and improve their services.

Professional advisers and authorities. We may disclose information to accountants, attorneys, insurers, government authorities, law enforcement, or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or security concerns, or resolve disputes.

Business transactions. If our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of some or all of its assets, personal information may be disclosed as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

At your direction. We may disclose information when you ask us to or consent to the disclosure.

Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising

We do not sell customer lists or personal information for money.

Some privacy laws define “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” broadly. Our use of Google Ads, the Meta Pixel, Shopify advertising or analytics features, and similar technologies may be considered sharing or targeted advertising under those laws even though we do not receive money in exchange for your information.

Where applicable, you may opt out through the “Your Privacy Choices” or data-sharing opt-out link in the Site footer. We also process browser-based Global Privacy Control signals where required and supported through Shopify’s customer-privacy tools.

Cookies and similar technologies

We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies for essential Site functions, preferences and functionality, analytics, fraud prevention, and advertising.

Essential cookies support functions such as navigation, customer login, shopping carts, checkout, payment, security, and fraud prevention. Blocking these cookies may prevent parts of the Site from working.

Analytics and performance technologies help us understand Site traffic, visitor interactions, and the effectiveness of our services.

Advertising technologies help us measure campaigns and may be used to personalize advertising or associate activity across websites, devices, or services, subject to applicable choices and consent requirements.

You can manage cookies through available Site controls and your browser settings. Browser controls vary, and blocking cookies may affect Site functionality. Where Shopify displays a cookie banner, you can use it to accept, decline, or manage nonessential cookies.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Because there is no uniform industry standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals, the Site does not otherwise respond to those signals.

Global Privacy Control is different from Do Not Track. Where applicable law requires it, we recognize and process Global Privacy Control signals through Shopify’s customer-privacy tools as a request to opt out of covered data sharing or targeted advertising.

Your privacy choices and rights

You may update certain account information by signing in to your customer account. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you.

You may unsubscribe from promotional email at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message. We may still send nonpromotional messages about orders, accounts, pull lists, rewards, security, or customer-service requests.

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have rights to know about or access personal information, correct inaccurate information, delete information, obtain a portable copy, or opt out of certain sales, sharing, profiling, or targeted advertising. You may also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.

To make a request, email contact@sirlonebuckscomics.com or write to us at the address in the Contact Us section. Please describe your request and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant records. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of the agent’s authority and verification of your identity.

Some information may be exempt from a request or retained as permitted by law, including information needed to complete transactions, maintain tax and accounting records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect legal rights.

Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed primarily to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without any consent required by law.

Children under 13 should not create an account, join a program, place an order, or submit personal information through the Site without the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. Minors should make purchases only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us at contact@sirlonebuckscomics.com so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide services, maintain customer accounts and transaction history, administer rewards and pull lists, meet tax and accounting requirements, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law.

Retention periods vary based on the type of information, why it was collected, whether an account or customer relationship remains active, and applicable legal obligations. We delete or deidentify information when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to these considerations and the capabilities of our service providers.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-party services and links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy. You can learn more from the privacy notices of Shopify, Google, Meta, Manage Comics, Joy Loyalty, and other services you choose to use.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our practices, services, technology, or legal obligations. We will post the revised policy on the Site and update the effective date. If required by law, we will provide additional notice.
